Rekindle the emotional connection & feel the sparks

You feel something missing with your partner.

there is hope to make this relationship better, maybe even better than before.

A strong, healthy relationship doesn’t just happen. It’s nurtured, cultivated, and intentionally supported. Sometimes relationships start off great then life events cause it to be neglected. Or there are issues that cause the fundamentals to fall apart.

Enlisting the support and guidance of a professional couples therapist doesn’t mean your relationship is broken. Getting help is not a weakness. It means you’re dedicated to rebuilding your connection and pursuing the joy of a vibrant future together.

When it comes down to it, dedication to working on your relationship and marriage is a better predictor of happiness in your relationship than compatibility. When we can have stability in our partner, it gives a consistency in an always changing world. Even if everything is falling apart, you know you will have each other to hold onto.

Conversations are tense and go unresolved.

Before & After the Baby

Trying or having children can be a difficult road to adjust to. While you may feel gratitude and love towards your partner, a wedge can be made through the stress and hardships. Infertility, infant loss, difficult pregnancies, traumatic briths, and postpartum mental health can test the waters of a previously secure relationship.

Through couples therapy, partners can heal through their experiences and become vulnerable with each other again. It can decrease the feelings of being alone. You can also learn how to be a couple with children.

THerapy process

Here’s the game plan:

Seeking out information to better your marriage or relationship takes courage, and I’m honored to be part of this journey with you. I’ll coach you in learning to use evidence-based techniques in your relationship that will help you feel loved, heard, and understood.

I believe that most of us want to be good partners – we want to have strong relationships and do our part well. Yet, we’re all flawed and all have areas that need improvement. I’ll help you to:

  • Recognize the patterns you’ve been taught.

  • See how those patterns are playing out in your relationship.

  • Address them with honesty, love, and without shame.

You’re not to blame for the dysfunctional patterns you’ve learned – we all have them. The important thing is as an adult, you now have an opportunity to learn to do better in your communication and in your relationships. You don’t have to keep repeating the patterns you learned growing up.

A bonus is that the skills you learn through working with me in couples counseling will spill into every relationship of your life, including:

  • parenting

  • friendships

  • work relationships

  • yourself

What we’ll work on

Imagine a life where…

  • You can speak openly to each other without getting defensive.

  • Security and trust are strong.

  • You look forward to time together.

  • Your past no longer causes friction and insecurities.

  • Life stressors do not pull you apart but instead, bring you closer.
